The challenge: Scaling password security for an international workforce
As an innovative software company serving ride-hailing companies worldwide, Onde likes to push the envelope. The company was founded with the goal of inspiring entrepreneurs to challenge global players in the mobility and transportation industry. Since then, Onde has expanded its platform to serve providers of any on-demand services.
The company, headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, has a remote workforce around the globe. Managing group access to multiple shared accounts became a big challenge as the small team grew.
Onde also stored passwords unsecurely, using spreadsheets. As new business units or departments added more accounts, the security risks were magnified.
Onde Co-Founder and CEO Eugene Suslo knew that his company’s growing needs required an app to manage account access.
However, he says he “wasn't satisfied with the native Apple app.” Built-in password managers have limited functionalities and are not designed for enterprise users. In addition to lacking rich features, these native apps typically don't have the type of enhanced, robust security capabilities that purpose-built password management solutions do.
"I was looking for a password manager that was able to manage groups and share passwords for a group of people," Eugene explains.
While searching for a new solution, Eugene narrowed down the options to Dashlane and 1Password. As he designed the use case for his team, Dashlane stood out as the best password manager to implement across the business.
The solution: A secure, centralized tool for storing and sharing passwords and other sensitive data
As Onde grew their workforce and expanded its accounts, they added many new services requiring shared access. Company managers take advantage of Dashlane's group-sharing capabilities to easily provide access to their teams based on roles or departments.
With Dashlane, onboarding employees to groups is simple. The tool also makes it simple for managers to distribute access when Onde adds new services.
"Our basic need was to securely share access to different company services. It was clear that the problem would only grow bigger because the number of people and teams or departments is growing, and the number of services we're using also grows," Eugene says. "Group sharing was not a required feature, but it's a nice benefit because it makes sharing more straightforward."
In addition to password group sharing, Onde uses Dashlane's Secure Notes to safely share other sensitive data, such as company credit card information. Eugene also appreciates security features like the VPN and Dark Web Insights, which he uses personally to stay secure.
Additionally, Onde has access to innovative security features with the Dashlane Omnix™ platform, including:
- Proactive intelligence into password risk
- Real-time response to threats
- Automated phishing alerts
- Advanced Credential Risk Insights
- In-browser security alerts for employees

These security enhancements are especially valuable for a company like Onde, whose employees work remotely worldwide.
The result: 100% adoption and a stronger security culture
Since implementing Dashlane, Onde has achieved 100% employee adoption. All new employees are now onboarded to Dashlane by default.
In addition to making it easy to maintain good security hygiene, the tool empowers employees to improve their overall password security using Password Health scores and Dark Web Monitoring.
"We take security very seriously," Eugene shares, "and our security engineers require a lot of measures security-wise. Dashlane meets all their requirements."
Eugene notes that when the company rolled out Dashlane, "it seemed unnatural" for employees to stop using Slack to share passwords. But now, Dashlane has become part of their daily workflows, helping employees create and maintain safe password habits.
By requiring employees to follow password best practices, Onde shows them that security is critical even for a small company. The outcome is both enhanced password security and a stronger security culture.
