Can I share passwords with my team? With my assistant?

Yes, you can share a single password or an entire category of passwords with an individual or multiple people. For example, you can share all the passwords in your “Social Media” category with the Marketing team. Access can be granted or revoked as necessary, allowing you to share passwords while away on a business trip or from the office.

When you share passwords, you have the option to grant full or limited rights, allowing you to control who can see, change or share those passwords.

What if I have more than one login for a single site?

You can save multiple logins for the same website, such as a personal and work Gmail. A pop-up will ask you to select the username you wish to log in with, and Dashlane will enter the login detail for you.

Does everyone have to have Dashlane to share passwords?

Yes – to share a password the recipient must have Dashlane in order to ensure your data remains securely encrypted. They can download the free version, or you can add them to your Dashlane account.

Can I take someone off my business's account if they leave the company? What happens to their passwords?

You can remove someone from your Dashlane account at any time. If you choose to do so, you can revoke access to the company items and the company space when you remove the user. You can also revoke access to shared items via the Sharing Center in the app. The user will keep their personal items and can continue to use Dashlane.

What platforms/browsers does Dashlane support?

Dashlane is available on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android platforms and supports Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari browsers. We are actively working to support a Linux environment.

Can I have separate business and personal accounts/passwords?

With Dashlane's business plans, you don't need to manage separate or linked accounts to organize work and personal — it's built in with unique spaces for each. You keep personal logins in your Personal Space, and when you leave the company you take those items with you. The Business Space is specific to your company, and is managed at the admin level via custom policy settings.

What about non web-based logins/information?

Dashlane offers a digital wallet and Secure Notes to manage all non-web-based information, allowing you to store and share activation codes, server logins, certificates and other data as necessary.

Can I access Dashlane from someone else’s computer? Will it store my passwords?

Dashlane never accesses data from the cloud, only from your device. To access your passwords from another computer, you will need to download the Dashlane client and authorize that device.

Are there discounts for education or non-profits?

We are happy to work with those in the education and non-profit space; please contact us via our Enterprise page to discuss a customized solution.

Is there an on-premise option?

We do not support on-premise Dashlane servers.

Can I import my passwords from a spreadsheet/another application?

Yes, you can import from a CSV file or via a direct export from your browser or LastPass, 1Password, PasswordWallet and RoboForm.

Can I use two-factor authentication (2FA)?

You have several options for implementing two-factor authentication, including a first-ever integration of the FIDO Alliance’s U2F protocol. 2FA can be required at each login or to authorize a new device.

How secure are my passwords if they are all stored in the same place?

Dashlane secures all data transmitted using the highest level of encryption available, AES 256. Our patented security architecture ensures your passwords are protected within your Dashlane client, and the optional addition of 2FA further protects you from phishing or remote attacks. What happens if I lose my phone or my laptop is stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, you can log in on another device and revoke the missing device immediately. Even if the device is recovered, no one can access your vault without your Master Password and, if enabled, your 2FA token.
