Co-founder & Lead Software Architect
Jean builds the Dashlane desktop application, focusing particularly on the Mac version, and works to ensure that the product looks beautiful and is easy to use. He met his co-founders while studying at Ecole Centrale Paris, and is lucky enough to never have had a boss before — this is his first job. He's a Breton, any questions?
Co-founder & VP of Engineering
Guillaume met his co-founders while finishing his master's degree in Engineering at Ecole Centrale Paris. With Alexis Fogel, Jean Guillou and Bernard Liautaud, he started the company few months after graduating. Guillaume wants to build a sustainable company based on strong human values and continuous improvement of management practices. Passionate about innovation and problem solving, he is working with the engineering team to try and innovate on core Dashlane technologies. His favorite topic is DashIQ™, the proprietary, semantic technology that powers all the online activities that Dashlane helps users within the web browser, thanks to machine learning. Guillaume also has a strong focus on security, and helps to ensure that Dashlane's zero-knowledge architecture, which protects Dashlane user data, is always up-to-date.
Chief Executive Officer
Emmanuel's job is to make sure things happen, users and the team are happy, and that the Dashlane ship holds its course towards an exceptional future. He has more than 20 years of experience in executive management of global businesses and product innovation across the high-tech and media industries. Prior to Dashlane, he was CEO of CBS Outdoor France, SVP and Chief Strategy Officer at Vivendi Universal Games (today Activision Blizzard), and the founder and CEO of Flipside.com, a leader in online games with more than 15 million UV's. He earned a master's degree in Engineering at France's leading Engineering school Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université de Toulouse; he also studied in the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. Emmanuel is a loving husband and the proud father of a 6-year-old son. With his passion for classical piano, sailboat racing, building robotic astronomical observatories and exploring exotic places above and below earth, Emmanuel is still searching for a way to fit 7 lives into one.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jeff Paradise is a strategic product & marketing expert who has created multi-million dollar brands and revenue streams equaling hundreds of millions of dollars per annum. Most recently serving as the CMO of Mindspark Interactive (an IAC company), Jeff managed a $300 million global budget and a team of over 40 marketing professionals, setting back-to-back records in marketing growth and profitability. Jeff drove the company's key consumer and customer marketing strategies across all Mindspark products in mobile, browser, and desktop and he identified key growth opportunities in over 200 countries worldwide.
Prior to Mindspark, Jeff led FYI Direct as SVP, Product and Marketing. Jeff grew FYI Direct into a $175 million D2C subscription company behind the flagship product FreeScore.com, which launched in 2009 featuring Ben Stein. FreeScore was awarded the "Best Online Financial Campaign" by the Internet Advertising Competition in 2010.
Jeff has over 17 years of experience as a product-focused evangelist and manager, building talented teams in Digital Marketing, Product Innovation, E-Commerce, Creative Services, Business Development, Analytics, Customer Care, and Email Marketing.
Chuck is the EVP of Partnerships for Dashlane.
Chuck joins Dashlane from Square, where he was Head of Strategic Partnerships for the past three years. At Square he led network, bank, and non-bank partners to accelerate growth and launch new and disruptive products. Prior to Square, Chuck led some of the leading global partnerships for Visa, including Citibank and JPMorgan Chase - accounting for hundreds of billions of dollars of incremental Visa payments volume. He also led Sales for Canada, shortly after the Visa IPO, increasing market share each quarter and evolving the team to operate as a public company.
Chuck has extensive payments experience, working for a bank, an acquirer, the leading PSP, and the two leading networks on domestic and global business development opportunities. He looks forward to helping new Dashlane partners around the globe enhance security, save time, increase customer satisfaction, and drive online spend.
Chief Technology Officer
Frederic Rivain is a passionate CTO, who joined Dashlane after several years working in Gaming, Gambling and eCommerce. He is eager to learn, innovate and have fun with his team, so that Engineering can efficiently support the Dashlane business and offer the best service to Dashlane users. Outside of work, he always keeps very busy, being the proud father of 3 daughters. He needs his frequent dose of sport, as he likes to practice French boxing and trail running.
Chief Financial Officer
David is a seasoned executive of venture-backed startups with over 12 years leading finance, human resources, customer support, IT, legal affairs and business operations at a variety of ventures in the US and Europe. He was most recently CFO and SVP Business Operations at MakeSpace, a NYC-based company aiming to disrupt the physical self-storage market. Previously, David was CFO at Fab.com (acquired by PCH International), KickApps (acquired by Piksel) and BuildOnline (acquired by Sword Group). During his tenure in startups, David led his companies through a number of rounds of equity and debt funding, as well as both buy and sell side M&A activity. He started his career in strategic consulting with The Parthenon Group then moving to venture capital with Upfront Ventures (previously, Global Retail Partners).
David grew up in New York and graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania too many years ago to admit. He is originally from Belgium, which explains his French skills, love of food and dry sense of humour, which he complements with an affinity for Scotch and great wine. He lives in Long Island with his wife, children, and 3-year-old dog, Pablo, with whom he shares his passions for cooking, jazz, post-war contemporary art (especially the CoBrA movement) and scuba diving.
VP of People
Ciara is passionate about ensuring people are happy and growing while they collaborate to achieve great things. She has over 15 years of People (Human Resources) experience. Prior to Dashlane, Ciara led a team of 12 for Compass, a quickly scaling tech start-up where the team built the full scope of tech HR practices for the company, from Recruiting to Performance Management. Previously, Ciara held international HR roles at GE for 6 years, and worked in HR at a healthcare start-up for 4 years. She is highly active in the New York Tech HR community.
Ciara grew up in New York, studied Psychology at the State University of New York at Geneseo and earned her MBA at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys restaurants and taking walks in cities with her husband, following her virtual pets at Elephant Nature Park on facebook, exchanging thoughts and learning anything new.
Chief Product Officer
As Chief Product Officer, Derek Snyder is responsible for Dashlane’s product strategy. With over 15 years of experience at companies such as Microsoft, Skype, Getty Images, and TrackMaven – Derek has led teams of all shapes and sizes across B2B and B2C, with a variety of business models including e-commerce, SaaS, and direct-to-consumer apps. At Dashlane, Derek’s goal is to solve problems for customers by recruiting, developing, and empowering great people who learn by shipping and are committed to getting things done.
Emmanuel is Dashlane's CEO. He has more than 20 years of experience in executive management of global businesses and product innovation across the high-tech and media industries. Before joining Dashlane, Schalit was the CEO of CBS Outdoor France, a national leader in outdoor advertising. Prior to that, he was SVP and Chief Strategy Officer at Vivendi Universal Games (today Activision Blizzard.) Emmanuel was also previously the founder and CEO of flipside.com, a leader in online games with more than 15 million unique visitors. Schalit holds a Master's degree from École Polytechnique in Paris, and a Ph.D., in Computer Science from Université de Toulouse. He also studied Marketing and Finance in the Executive Education program at Harvard Business School.
Bernard Liautaud is the original visionary behind Dashlane and is one of its founders. He founded Business Objects in 1990 and was CEO for 15 years then Chairman until January 2008. With 6,700 employees, 45,000 customers and $1.5 billion of revenue in 2007, Business Objects was the world leader in Business Intelligence and one of the 15 largest software companies in the world. Business Objects was the first European software IPO on Nasdaq in 1994. In January 2008, Business Objects was acquired by SAP for $6.8 billion, making it the third largest software acquisition at the time. Bernard is now General Partner at Balderton Capital, a member of the SAP Supervisory Board, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Stanford University.
Habib Kairouz is a managing partner of Rho Capital Partners and Rho Ventures as well as a member of the Investment Committees of Rho Canada and Rho Fund Investors. With nearly 20 years of experience in venture capital, Habib seeks to partner with entrepreneurs who are visionaries, hungry to build massive opportunities, confident enough to challenge established market leaders and charismatic enough to attract top-tier partners, customers and other business personnel.

Alex Ferrara is a partner in Bessemer’s New York office where he focuses on investments in the application software and Internet sectors. Alex’s current and previous board service includes NewVoiceMedia, Wandera, Shopify, OMGPop (acquired by Zynga), SelectMinds (acquired by Oracle), Yodle, and Quadriserv. He was also involved with the firm’s investments in Pure Networks (acquired by Cisco), Skype (acquired by Ebay), SiteAdvisor (acquired by McAfee), Goal.com (acquired by Perform Group), Activ Financial, TeamViewer, and Gerson Lehrman Group.
Alex’s other historical investments include HootSuite and Alibaba Group. Earlier in his career Alex worked at Goldman Sachs in technology investment banking. He started his career as a software developer at Salomon Brothers and later worked as a derivatives trader.
Alex holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
John Danaher is president of Consumer Interactive, the consumer division of TransUnion. In this role, Mr. Danaher is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the business that provides tools, resources and education to help consumers manage their credit health and achieve their financial goals.
Mr. Danaher has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and direct marketing industries. Prior to joining TransUnion, he was chief operating officer at TrueLink, Inc., an online provider of credit information to consumers acquired by TransUnion in 2004. Prior to TrueLink, Mr. Danaher held a variety of leadership roles in operations and technology at Citibank, including vice president of e-commerce, responsible for planning and executing the company’s e-commerce strategy for home equity loan products.
Mr. Danaher holds a Bacherlor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Masters from Washington University in St. Louis. He has studied at the Executive Education Program, The University of Chicago – Booth School of Business.
Carl F. Pascarella is currently affiliated with TPG Capital as an Executive Advisor. He retired as President & Chief Executive Officer from Visa U.S.A. Inc., after twelve years of service. Prior to that time, he was president and CEO of Visa International’s Asia-Pacific Region and director of the Asia-Pacific Regional Board for 11 years. Under Pascarella’s leadership, the Visa brand grew in Asia from fourth position, behind JCB, MasterCard, and American Express to the market leader with over 50% of the General Purpose Card market. Pascarella set up corporate headquarters in Tokyo and established offices in Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, China, India, and Korea. He also installed a payment processing center in Yokahama, Japan for all transactions originating in Asia. From 1985 to 1993, card sales volume rose from $3 billion to $50 billion, while cards in the market increased from 6 million to 58 million. Visa became the market leader in every country within Asia, most notably in Japan and Korea. From 1993 to 1995, Visa’s market share vs. MasterCard leapt 2 percentage points reaching 60.5 percent.
Before joining Visa International, he was vice president, International Division at Crocker National Bank and vice president, Metropolitan Banking at Bankers Trust Company. In those roles, Pascarella’s responsibilities encompassed retail banking including deposit products and consumer lending. His experience also included over five years of commercial banking, corporate banking, credit review and policy, and DeNovo banking. He was also head of the California International Banking and Trade Finance organization for Crocker National Bank.
Pascarella received a Masters of Science (MS) in Management from the Stanford Sloan Program at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Buffalo. Pascarella is active in many community and civic organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a Board Member of the Asian Art Museum, the San Francisco Ballet, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Fine Arts Museums.
