Continuous learning is an important component of Dashlane Engineering. As a team, Dashlane Engineering fosters various ways to learn: From weekly mini trainings to code dojos, attending public conferences, and even hosting our own internal “Tech Summit,” an afternoon of technical talks and workshops organized by the Dashlane engineers, for Dashlane engineers.

In 2024, we decided to take this Tech Summit public and create our very first Dashlane Security Seminar.

There’s a lot happening in the cybersecurity industry currently, and as a security product ourselves, we figured we would focus the seminar on talks on security and digital identity. We invited guests from our network to talk on a variety of topics.

Allow me to introduce our 5 speakers:

  • Olga Carvalho, from Noesis, is a cybersecurity engineer. She will share her experience around threat hunting and threat intelligence
  • Tiago Mendo is the CTO and co-founder of Probely, a security company specializing in Web Application Vulnerability Scanning. In his talk, he will focus on how to include security scanning in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Rew Islam, our Director of Product Engineering and Innovation at Dashlane, who represents Dashlane in the FIDO Alliance, will give an update on the state of passkeys
  • André Grilo is the CEO and Founder of QuantumNova, specializing in quantum computing
  • To conclude, Paulo Silva will explain the risks associated with one of the OWASP risks: Unrestricted Access to Sensitive Business Flows

Being a distributed organization, we’re planning this as a hybrid event.

Join us on June 20th, 2024, from 2-5 PM in Lisbon (3-6 PM CET/ 9 AM-12 PM EST), in person and remotely on Zoom.

You can find more details at https://www.dashlane.com/dashlane-security-seminar-2024 and register for the event here.

We look forward to this learning opportunity.
