Did you know there is more than one way to log in to your Dashlane account? If you didn’t, you may well fall in love with what we call our “Help On The Internet” feature, especially if you prefer not to launch Dashlane when you start your computer.

There must have been at least one instance where you had to open Dashlane, log in, close the application window, and finally, go back to your browser to finish filling out a form. We know too many steps can be discouraging, which is why in one click, our “Help On The Internet” feature allows you to click on any login field to activate Dashlane. Just click to turn on Dashlane & enter your master password — that’s it!

When you open Dashlane in this way, you won’t see the main application window, so you won’t be forced to leave the website you’re browsing on:

Keep in mind that this webcard is only offered when you click on a login or registration form in your browser and does not activate on other types of forms.

Read more about this feature in our FAQ, and find more Dashlane Tips & Tricks on our blog!

  1. I don’t like to have my name printed right on my email as Google does. I wish to only use my USER NAME and not my birth name! Can yoy do that?

  2. I still wish to receive my email so how would I do that and under what email address?

It’d be nice if this were accessible by keyboard shortcut as well.

Sometimes, when a page loads, the cursor is placed into the first login field by default. When this happens, I wish that I could just hit the down arror, or some other easy key or key-combo, to get the same effect as clicking in the field plus clicking on the “Turn Dashlane on…” button.

Great idea, thanks, David! You’re already on our Board of Users, I hope? We’ve actually got a conversation about keyboard shortcuts happening now. Email community(at)dashlane(dot)com if you haven’t already been invited.
